UK Casinos
We've covered a whole array of casino games, but we thought we'd add some sections in regard to the casinos themselves. We are covering three main casino areas- Las Vegas, Macau and the UK. ( that is where we are from after all). The first one we are covering is the casinos in the UK. Most decent sized cities and quite alot of towns have casinos these days as they have become a more acceptable way in which to spend your leisure time. There used to be a membership rule with 24 hour waiting, but this has been scrapped and these days you don't need to wait. The rule still vary between casinos though. Some like Grosvenor casinos still ask for ID for entrance, a driving licence, debit card or passport is usually required. However, others like the Empire casino in London and the Rendevous in Brighton have a walk in policy so you can just turn up and go in, which is great.
The casinos themselves are relatively small in size compared with the behemoths in Vegas, but they do tend to offer a vareity of games, from blackjack, roulette and 3 card poker, to more recent games to gain popularity such as pai gow. Limits will vary greatly on location, some places will offer £3 blackjack and 25p minimums on the tables at roulette, whilst some others, in locations such as London will have £2 minimum chips at roulette quite often, and £10 and upwards on table games such as blackjack and plenty of tables with higher action.
When it comes to drinks, a few casinos still offer free soft drinks and will bring you a bite to eat for free when you are playing, but this is increasingly rare. It is a far cry from Vegas casinos where the drinks are free when you are at the tables, bar a quick tip for the waitress. Some casinos have gone a step further when it comes to entertainment, offering live bands, multiple restaurant choices and poker rooms to tempt a more diverse crowd in, from the casinos of yesteryear.
To round off, our favourites are the Gala casino in London, which has reasonable limits and don't feel the need to take the mickey with the bar prices, like the Empire Casino and the £4.60 a pint it charges! Wherever you end up playing, good luck!
