Let It Ride
Let It Ride is an older casino game which has been superceded by more popular newer games in recent years. Still, it remains a fond favourite for some and we've a guide to it here. Quite simply, each player is dealt three cards and they place three bets of equal amounts. The dealer also deals two community cards face down. At this point it is possible to pull back the first bet you have made. After this the dealer will expose one of the community cards, at this point you can take back the second of the two bets should you wish. The third bet will always have to stay on the table whatever happens. Each players hand is paid on the value of the hand, if they have a hand which is a pair of tens or better. The odds on the payout of the whole 5 card hand ( your 3 and the 2 community), are as follows-
Royal Flush- 1,000-1
Straight Flush-200-1
4 of a Kind- 50-1
Full House- 11-1
Flush- 8-1
Straight- 5-1
3 of a Kind- 3-1
Two Pair-2-1
10's or better- 1 to 1
The game derives it's name from the fact, that if you choose not to pull the bets back, you are letting them ride. Obviously, if you go on to hit a straight flush and you have let it ride then that is brilliant, but sickening if for some reason you didn't. That is basically the game. It isn't so popular any more and when it is played correctly, it give the casino a house edge of around 3.5%, so nothing too damaging to your bankroll!
